One recording, seven deliverables: the exact workflow

The repurposing advice online is mostly a list of formats. This is the actual sequence, in order, with which tool does what.

Workflow·9 min read

Start with a recording that already happened

The best source is not a recording you make for content. It is one that already exists for another reason: a customer call, an internal demo, a webinar. Those contain specifics — objections, numbers, the phrasing customers use — that no prompt will produce.

Transcribe first, always

Even if you plan to write from memory, transcribe it. The transcript is the artifact every other step reads from, and searching it later is worth more than the minute it takes.

Outline before you generate anything long

Run the Article Wizard on the transcript and stop at the outline. Cut half of it. Long-form drafts fail because nobody edited the plan, and editing the plan costs thirty seconds while editing the draft costs an hour.

Fan out, do not regenerate

The newsletter, the LinkedIn post and the thread are rewrites of the finished article, not fresh generations from the transcript. Rewrites inherit the article's specifics; fresh generations drift back toward generic.

The seven

Article, newsletter, LinkedIn post, thread, show notes, an OG image, and a narrated version for a second language. Realistically an hour of work once the recording exists, most of it editing.
